A modern approach to
Psychotherapy
In a world filled with constant challenges and uncertainties, it’s no surprise that many of us struggle with our mental health at some point in our lives. From the overwhelming grip of anxiety to the suffocating weight of depression, these emotional battles can be daunting, but you don't have to face it alone.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) serves as a map to understand the interconnected nature of our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and actions. It helps us break free from unhelpful cycles where negative thoughts lead to distressing emotions, influencing our actions and relationships. Within CBT, we delve into the past to uncover origins and subtle beliefs fuelling patterns responsible for current issues. By reshaping thought and behaviour, CBT aims to improve emotional well-being and social interactions.
My carefully 3rd wave CBT intervention adopts a holistic approach, using a toolbox of techniques such as Humanistic therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassionate-focused therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema therapy. These interventions, beyond traditional CBT, prioritize the overall well-being of our minds and bodies, leading you to a happier and healthier version of yourself.
Humanistic Therapy
HT emphasizes the individual's inherent capacity for growth, self-actualization, and personal fulfillment and places a strong emphasis on the client's subjective experience, self-awareness, and personal responsibility.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
DBT focuses on helping individuals manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and reduce self-destructive behaviours. DBT combines cognitive-behavioural techniques with concepts from mindfulness. It aims to teach skills in four key areas: mindfulness , distress tolerance, emotion regulation , and interpersonal effectiveness.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
MBCT integrates principles of mindfulness meditation and practices into the therapeutic process to promote psychological well-being and alleviate various mental health difficulties. Empowering clients to cultivate greater awareness, acceptance, and resilience in their lives
Compassionate-Focused Therapy
CFT focuses on cultivating compassion for oneself and others as a means of addressing psychological difficulties, particularly those related to shame, self-criticism, and low self-esteem.
Schema Therapy
ST identifies, understands, and addresses longstanding patterns of maladaptive thinking, feeling, and behaviour known as schemas. These schemas, or core beliefs, develop in childhood as a result of early experiences and shape how individuals perceive themselves, others, and the world around them
Acceptance Commitment therapy
ACT emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based action to help individuals develop psychological flexibility and lead a more meaningful life. It focuses on understanding the context and function of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Testimonials
“As I suffer from agoraphobia and anxiety, the focus was on helping me to overcome unhelpful preconceptions about going outside and being alone. I was shown numerous relaxation techniques, and methods to rethink and approach anxiety symptoms rationally. All of these were extremely helpful, and I was able to begin overcoming some major fears of mine. My therapist, Ester, was kind, understanding, and professional for the entire period. I am very happy with the help she gave me.”
